Then on Saturday morning we set out the baskets for the kids. Hyrum always enjoyed it when he was little when his parents would hide their Easter baskets and they had to find them, so we tried that this year with our kids. It was a hit!

And of course, we had to take our traditional picture of Hyrum throwing the kids in the air. :)
After church we had a wonderful dinner/lunch with two families, and did resurrection rolls with the kids.

If you have never made resurrection rolls before, it is a fun way to explain and show the resurrection to kids. You take a big marshmallow and tell them it represents Jesus. When Jesus died, they put special oils (roll the marshmallow in butter) and spices (then roll it in cinnamon/sugar mixture). They wrapped His body (wrap marshmallow in crescent roll dough) and He was put in a tomb. You then cook the rolls. When they come out and cool down you give them to the kids, have them take a bite and look inside. It is empty! He has risen! They're pretty fun and super delicious! So that was our Easter. We hope you all had wonderful Easters too!
